Decorated lightbubs
Ithemba lightbulbs are hand-made in South Africa by women affected by HIV & AIDS from local NGO Wola Nani. This income generating activity has been providing a steady income to a group of 30 women, who create these bulbs from their home in Cape Town townships. 2 lines are available: The No-Name bulbs, and the designer bulbs, part of the "Fashion designing Hope" project, developped together with NGO Designing Hope. Bulbs are inspired from drawings given to Designing Hope by famous designer, such as JP Gaultier, John Galiano, Christian Lacroix... Drawings have been interpreted by Ithemba and the women. A donation of 5 euros per lightbulb is collected to contribute to the funding of Designing hope's projects in africa.
